FortCON 2019 will be Indiana’s largest bring your own computer (BYOC) LAN party. Last year we raised over $3500 to provide our local hospital with a GO Kart and we once again are partnering with Gamers Outreach to raise money for a second Go Kart.

– Early Bird BYOC Standard Seat: $50 After April 1st $60
Standard Seat includes: 36″ of table space, 2 outlets & one ethernet port

– BYOC Early Bird VIP Seat: $70 after April 1st $80
VIP seat includes: 48” of table space instead of 36”, FortCON shirt, swag, 2 outlets & One Ethernet plug, and more

FortLAN’s favorite LAN Party! We are unfortunately sold out for those who were unable to get tickets. We do have a waiting list at:https://www.lanreg.org/fortlan/fortlan12 in case a seat opens up.

However, those who are going, there are tickets available for:

Make sure to sign and fill out the waiver ahead of time to make registration quick and painless! Waiver’s are availbale on the LanREG Event Page!

We have the charity raffle of course! So please considering helping out those who are less forunate or need a little extra help when it comes to food or other health items. For every 5 non-perishable food items brought (limit 50) you’ll get one raffle ticket towards the charity raffle.

Date and Time

  • February 27th  10:00a – February 28th 5:00p

Location

  • Indiana Tech, 1600 E Washington Blvd, Fort Wayne, IN 46803
  • The LAN will be located on the 2nd Floor of Andorfer Commons in Seitz Conference Center rooms 205, 206, 207.
  • Parking and entrance is located on the North side of the building off of E Washington Blvd, Stairs and an elevator is located on the main floor.
  • A push cart is available for use on the handicapped ramp.
  • Restrooms are located to the left of the Conference rooms around the bend.
  • Smoking – Indiana Tech is a Smoke Free campus, Please help us keep it that way. You may smoke in your car or off campus.

Basic Rules and Guidelines

  • No drugs or alcohol.
  • Guests may come and watch for 1 hour and must be escorted by the attendee Inside the LAN area (see staff member for further accommodation). Guest and spectators will be allowed in the demo area and theater after 3:00pm Saturday.
  • No Illegal file sharing.
  • Please stay within the designated areas; we are renting the conference rooms not the whole building.
  • Doors lock at midnight!
    • If you need readmission, please find a friend to get the door for you. Indiana Tech Security will not accommodate you!

Pre-LAN Checklist

  • Print and sign the waiver! Doing this ahead of time will speed up registration for you and everyone else!
  • Back up your computer files!
  • Update your games before coming so you aren’t bogging down the Internet connection!
    • Steam, Origin, League of Legends, Uplay

What To Bring

  • Network cable 25 feet or longer!
  • A power strip with enough outlets for yourself!
  • PC or Laptop
  • Monitor, no larger than 32″. One monitor per seat.
  • Headphones and microphone.
    • No speakers allowed!
  • Keyboard, mouse, mouse pad.
  • Any emergency software you need in case your rig crashes.
  • Chairs
    • We will provide chairs, but feel free to bring your own computer or gaming chair.
  • Pillows and blankets for our quiet room in case you’d like to sleep.

Food and Drink

  • Feel free to carry in any food or non alcoholic beverages you wish to consume.
  • We will provide soda for $2.00 all you can drink or 50¢ a cup or
  • Nachos and cheese will be available for a $1.00 a serving.
  • BAWLS will be available for $2.00 a 16oz. can.

    • Half of a large one-topping Papa John’s pizza and a cup of soda.

ARK Modding Contest Kicks Off with Alienware for a Celebration of Mod Creativity with $25,000 in Prizes!

 

Seattle, WA – August 14, 2015 – OMG – so much news from Studio Wildcard today: the launch of the ARK Dev Kit directly within the Epic Games Launcher, massive Alienware mod contest, and the release of the badass ‘Survival of the Fittest’ tournament battle mode. To celebrate the news, ARK: Survival Evolved is now available on the Amazon Store, at an introductory, 25% off limited quantity sale!

Studio Wildcard today released the ARK Dev Kit, a streamlined version of the UE4 Editor to simplify the creation and sharing process of mods for ARK: Survival Evolved. It is available to download now for free via the Epic Games Launcher HERE. Creative souls can easily generate their own ARK items, weapons, creatures, maps and game modes to share with fellow survivors online.

 

Got mad modding skills? The “ARK: Survival Evolved Modding Contest” also kicks off today, sponsored by Alienware and is a massive competition to celebrate the best of the best in the modding community. The contest objective is to use the Unreal Engine 4 ARK Dev Kit to create a new “Mod” that best exemplifies the judging criteria. Players can submit diverse island maps, underground environments, game modes, new structures and items for a chance to win over $25,000 in cash and prizes. The more creative the better! To showcase the depth of the ARK Dev Kit, the Studio Wildcard team created the competitive ‘Survival of the Fittest’ (SoTF) total conversion mod, which is now available to download via Steam Workshop. Each SotF battle takes place on a modified version of the ARK island, with the objective being to eliminate all other survivors before they eliminate you! The map is surrounded by a dome-shaped force field that shrinks as the match progresses, and leveling, gathering, taming and building happen at a quicker rate. As the contestants enter this arena, not only do they need to look out for the dangers from the creatures and the other survivors, but also randomized ‘Evolution Events.’ These events take place every 30 minutes and have major impact on the gameplay, from freak weather occurrences, to dinosaurs dropping from the sky, extra supply drops, day-to-night shifts, player location reveals, and more. Best of all, the full source content for the ‘Survival of the Fittest’ mode is available within the ARK Dev Kit, so aspiring mod creators can see how this game-changing “Total Conversion” has been put together, and build on it or make their own!
